PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve balance of reduction of toner consumption for drawing correction patterns and accuracy of device operation.SOLUTION: Timing to detect a pattern 412 for correcting an interval of drums and a mark 500 for correcting density is determined on the basis of a detected result of a pattern 411 for correcting a whole position. The pattern 412 for correcting the interval of the drums is drawn so that a width of the pattern 412 in a main scanning direction corresponds to a width of a detection range 170' in the main scanning direction. The pattern 411 for correcting the whole position is drawn so that a width of the pattern 411 in the main scanning direction is wider than the width of the pattern 412 for correcting the interval of the drums in the main scanning direction.
