PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience at the time of pointing.SOLUTION: In a pointing system including a display device for displaying video and an electronic apparatus provided with an imaging part for imaging the display device displaying video, a conversion rule generation part generates a conversion rule from an image coordinate system into a video coordinate system on the basis of a feature point of the video and a feature point of an image picked up by the imaging part. An estimation part estimates a point at which an optical axis of the imaging part crosses a display part provided by the display device as information for determining the position of a pointer to be displayed on the display part with reference to the conversion rule.
