PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell having excellent photoelectric conversion characteristics under a low-illuminance environment of 10,000 lux or less.SOLUTION: A low-illuminance dye-sensitized solar cell comprises a first electrode, a second electrode opposed to the first electrode, an oxide semiconductor layer provided to the first or second electrode, an electrolyte provided between the first and second electrodes, a photosensitization dye adsorbed to the oxide semiconductor layer, and a common adsorbent adsorbed to the oxide semiconductor layer. The photosensitization dye contains a ruthenium complex having -COOH and -COOM and represented by a formula (1). The -COOM is selected from an alkali metal salt and the like of the -COOH. A ratio of the -COOM occupied in the number of -COOH and -COOM in the ruthenium complex is 67% or more and 100% or less. (In the formula (1), Land Lrespectively represent bipyridine derivatives as bidentate ligands, and at least one of Land Lis a bipyridine derivative having -COOH and -COOM. Qand Qindividually independently represent an isothiocyanate group and the like.) |
