a plurality of USB interfaces; a selection unit configured to select at least one of the USB interfaces which is to be used when the second power mode is entered; and a control unit configured to perform control so that, in the second power mode, electric power is supplied to a device connected to the at least one of the USB interfaces selected by the selection unit through the selected at least one of the USB interfaces, wherein electric power is not supplied from the data processing apparatus to devices connected to the USB interfaces which are not selected by the selection unit.
