The present invention relates to the field of computers. Disclosed are a multimedia redirection method, a multimedia server, and a computer system. The method comprises: receiving a virtual desktop logon request of a user, the virtual desktop logon request comprising an identifier of the user; obtaining, according to the identifier of the user, metadata of a multimedia instance that is not turned off by the user before the last disconnection, the metadata at least comprising path information of a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia instance; and sending the metadata to a client of the user, so that the client obtains, according to the metadata, and plays multimedia data corresponding to the metadata. The technical solution of the present invention enables automatic playing of the multimedia that is not turned off before the last disconnection when the user logs on again, which improves user experience of the multimedia. |
