<p>The present invention provides a highly durable pneumatic tire that has an overlap splice section formed by layering a sheet, said sheet comprising either a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic-resin composition obtained by blending a thermoplastic resin with an elastomer, both on top of and under a rubber layer that cure-adheres to the thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic-resin composition. The sheet comprising a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic-resin composition obtained by blending a thermoplastic resin with an elastomer does not crack or peel near the overlap splice section after the pneumatic tire has entered service. This pneumatic tire uses a sheet, said sheet comprising a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic-resin composition obtained by blending a thermoplastic resin with an elastomer, provided with a large number of slits at or near the edge of at least one side of the sheet.
