The machine (1) has a torque-proof cylindrical drum (2) in which several cylinder bores (8) are formed parallel to the axis of rotation (6) of a drive shaft in which a working piston (10) is axially slidably received, so that hydrostatic working chambers (34) are limited by working piston and cylinder bores in sections. The piston is supported against a sliding surface (18), engaged with a swash plate (20) against the axis of rotation of drive shaft at an adjustable angle and is moved towards cylinder drum. The sliding surface is moved relative to swash plate.
