A microwave processing device comprises: a periodic structure body which forms a surface wave transmission track which transmits a surface wave from microwaves; an oscillation part which emits microwave energy; and a propagation part which propagates to the periodic structure body the microwave energy which is emitted by the oscillation part. A matching part is disposed in a connection portion between the periodic structure body and the propagation part. By setting the impedance of the matching part between the impedance of the periodic structure body and the impedance of the propagation part, it is possible to efficiently propagate microwave energy from the propagation part to the periodic structure body.
