PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain block and a load chain that can reduce abrasion of the load chain even though the wire diameter thereof is small, by adjusting balance between hardness corresponding to strength of the load chain and hardness of a load sheave.SOLUTION: The chain block 10 comprises: a load chain C1 for suspending a load; and a load sheave member that is supported rotatably between a first frame 11 and a second frame and has a chain pocket 23b around which the load chain C1 is wound and into which the load chain C1 enters. The load chain C1 is formed of a steel material with rockwell hardness C scale (HRC) of 47-51. The load sheave member is formed of a steel material in which at least the chain pocket has rockwell hardness C scale (HRC) of 40-45. |
