A side seal (30) configuring the linear guide device of the present invention has one or more seals (31, 32), and the seals (31, 32) have a lip section (34) and a hard resin holding plate (35) that holds the lip section (34) and is mounted to the slider (20). The holding plate (35) has: a thickness maintaining section (3a) that maintains the plate thickness; and a thin section (3d) that is thinner and has a lower rigidity than the thickness maintaining section (3a). The thickness maintaining section (3a) is formed along at least the portion where there is no lip section (34) of the outer rim of the holding plate (35). The thin section (3d) is occluded from the outside by the thickness maintaining section (3a). |
