The invention relates to a method (1) for sensorless control of a separately excited synchronous machine (11) which has a rotor and a device (10) for performing the method (1). The method (1) comprises the following steps: feeding (S1) a test signal (M) on a parameter of an electrical current driving the rotor; measuring (S2) the parameter of the electrical current driving the rotor on an axis of the coordinate system describing the synchronous machine (11); determining (S3) an error signal (&rgr;(T)) by correlating the measured parameter (x) of the electrical current driving the rotor with a temporally delayed test signal (m) which is determined from the fed test signal (M); adjusting (S4) a rotor angle (&phgr;) as a reaction to the error signal (&rgr;(T)) if the error signal (&rgr;(T)) has a value not equal to zero. |
