The present invention relates to a slide opening and closing device for a roof, and more particularly, to a slide opening and closing device for a roof which stably opens and closes a movable roof opening and closing a top portion of a structure by means of an opening and closing operating means driven through gears. According to the present invention, the slide opening and closing device for a roof includes a fixed roof covering the top portion of a vertical structure, the movable roof opening and closing an open section at one side of the fixed roof, rails disposed on the top ends of the vertical structure to guide the opening and closing operations of the movable roof, and the opening and closing operating means sliding the movable roof, wherein the opening and closing operating means includes: sliders attached to both end portions of the movable roof to fit the rails between the inner and outer surfaces bent downward to a shape of ′��prime; thereof; a driving motor attached to the inner surface of each slider to generate rotary force; a rack gear attached to the lower side of an inner flange of each rail and a pinion gear coupled to a motor shaft of the driving motor in such a manner as to be engaged with the rack gear; first rollers shaft-coupled to the inner and outer surfaces of each slider in such a manner as to be rolling-contacted to the top surface of the rails; second rollers shaft-coupled to the lower side of the outer surface of each slider in such a manner as to be rolling-contacted to the lower side of an outer flange of each rail; and third rollers attached to the inner surface of each slider in such a manner as to be rolling-contacted to the side surface of the rack gear. |
