The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for learning a foreign language pronunciation by using a phonetic symbol. The pronunciation is learned from a voice pronunciation, which is a unique sound of a foreign language, by using the phonetic symbol, so that a user recognizes the unique sound of the foreign language. A word is learned from the unique sound of the foreign language by using the phonetic. Then, specific spellings of the foreign language are recognized. When the user learns the foreign language, for previously learning the pronunciation and the word by not ideogram but the phonetic symbol. Therefore, the user learns the pronunciation by the unique sound of the foreign language, while excluding mother language associations. |
