Disclosed are a system and a method for recommending an item by category. The system comprises: a recommender smart terminal for generating and transmitting a recommendation item message for a predetermined category; and an item recommending server for receiving the recommendation item message, providing the received recommendation item message to a smart terminal of a recipient designated by the smart terminal, extracting a predetermined recommendation item which is analyzed by performing data mining of the category on a web, and providing the extracted recommendation item to the smart terminal of the recipient. The category is configured by a plurality of upper and lower categories. According to the system and the method for recommending an item by category, systematic sharing of recommendation information is activated by transmitting the recommendation message, such as a text or an image, having a specific format to the recipient by the recommender. Also, a variety of recommendation information is provided through various routes by providing recommendation information though the data mining on a web and all recommendation item messages between individuals. |
