The present invention relates to a technology of providing a visual edit-assistance function for touch-based editing applications used in touch-based environments such as a smart phone, a smart pad, and a tablet PC. More particularly, the present invention relates to a technology of assisting an editing function by visually displaying a present editing situation in order to overcome a problem in which an object to be edited (editing target object) is hidden by a finger of a user or a stylus pen and the editing of the object is interrupted in a touch-based terminal apparatus including a touch screen. According to the present invention, in a touch-based cellular terminal, the visible expression of the editing target object hidden on the touch screen in an editing work is added, so that a user can conveniently reduce editing errors. In other words, the reduction in the editing time for a small or thin editing target object reduces the reduction in the total document editing time, and the inconvenience of the user is overcome, so that the whole editing time is reduced, so that the accessibility of the user to the use of an editing application in the touch-based cellular terminal can be improved.
