PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of determining with a good accuracy abnormality of a secondary air supply device without exerting high loads.SOLUTION: AN engine system 1 includes an air pump 22, a secondary air supply passage 23, an secondary air supply device 21 equipped with ASV24, and a pressure sensor 31 that detects pressure of the secondary air supply passage 23 between the air pump 22 and the ASV 24. The engine ECU 10 determines that an abnormality is present in the secondary air supply device 21, if an average value of detected pressures during the time while the ASV 24 opens the secondary air supply passage 23 is larger than a learning value stored in an engine ECU10, and executes control to update the learning value if an average value of detected pressures is smaller than the learning value. Hence, abnormality determination is executable, in consideration of performance of an air pump 22 while opening the ASV 24, and abnormality of the secondary air supply device 21 can be determined with good accuracy without exerting high load. |
