<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a positive active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high capacity and high charge discharge efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 2 has a positive active material. The positive active material is obtained by covering composite oxide particles containing lithium (Li) and at least one of nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) with at least one of a sulfate and a boric acid compound, and then heating the composite oxide particles covered with at least one of the sulfate and the boric acid compound in oxidizing atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
