PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable designation of the number of printing sheets promptly and reliably. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus in which the number of printing sheets for displayed image data is set based on a display of a screen for setting the number of printing sheets for the image data after imaging by imaging means, and the image data and the number of printing sheets are transmitted to an external printing apparatus according to the setting of the number of printing sheets, for controlling the imaging apparatus according to setting of imaging modes. In the apparatus, it is controlled such that next imaging processing is enabled based on the setting of the number of sheets after imaging in a first imaging mode, and next imaging processing is enabled without performing the setting of the number of sheets after imaging in a second imaging mode.
