Disclosed is a demand response communications device capable of being used in a demand response technique for preventing peak power by controlling the usage amount of a load according to the power supply and demand situation and for achieving the stable supply of the power. The present invention includes an interface module for interfacing to the demand response device; a communications module for supporting TCP/IP based communications; a demand response protocol unit; a data converter; and a standard I/O module, thereby providing the demand response communications device capable of being attached to the demand response device. According to the present invention, the device can contribute to the expansion of a demand response market by ensuring smooth communications between the devices regardless of a wide variety of members and devices participating in the demand response mechanism.
