PURPOSE: An anti-inflammatory composition containing a subcritical water extract of Gracilariopsis chorda as an active ingredient is provided to suppress inflammation, thereby being applied to an anti-inflammatory agent or a cosmetic composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases. CONSTITUTION: An anti-inflammatory composition contains a subcritical water extract of Gracilariopsis chorda as an active ingredient, which is prepared using subcritical water at a pressure of 3 MPa and a temperature of 180-240°C. An anti-inflammatory agent contains the composition as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition with an anti-inflammatory effect contains the subcritical water extract as an active ingredient.
