PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure, capable of preventing settlement of a structure by suppressing vertical deformation of an intermediate layer between a foundation body and the structure. SOLUTION: The foundation structure includes: a foundation slab 2 of a structure 10 such as a building; a foundation pile 3 buried in ground G below the foundation slab 2 without being connected with the foundation slab 2; and a geotextile 4 and an intermediate layer 5 laid between the foundation pile 3 and the foundation slab 2.
