The present invention relates to a prefabricated bridge pier and a construction method thereof which provides easy construction, reduced construction period and costs, high stability, and easy height adjustment in a construction site and minimizes problems caused by construction errors. According to the present invention, the prefabricated bridge pier includes a lower base part (1), a column body (2), and an upper support part (3), wherein the lower base part (1) includes a base plate (10), a hollow insertion portion (11) and lower bracing plates (12); and the upper support part (3) includes an upper plate (30) and upper bracing plates (32). The prefabricated bridge pier is assembled in a construction site as follows. In the state where the lower base part (1) is fixed on the ground, the column body (2) is inserted into the hollow insertion portion (11), and in the state where the upper portions of the lower bracing plates (12) extended longer than the hollow insertion portion (11) are in contact with the side surface of the column body (2), the lower base part (1) is welded to the column body (2), thus allowing the column body (2), the lower bracing plates (12) and the lower base part (1) to be integrated. The upper support part (3) is covered on the column body (2) to allow the upper plate (30) to be placed on the top surface of the column body (2) and to allow the upper bracing plates (32) to be brought into contact with the upper peripheral surface of the column body (2), thus integrating the upper bracing plates (32) and the column body (2). |
