The present invention relates to a propulsion apparatus for a ship, which includes: a propeller combined to the stern of a ship for generating a propulsion force; a first duct installed in front of the propeller; and a second duct which is installed in front of the propeller, and which is arranged, with some portion overlapping with another portion of the first duct. The propulsion apparatus for a ship according to the present invention, according to the present invention, is arranged with two overlapping ducts on the stern of the ship, so as to secure a structural stability and drastically increase the propulsion performance by concentrating the flow of fluid at the stern of the ship. |
