Bracelet clasp comprising a device for adjusting the useful length of the bracelet

The clasp (1) has an adjusting unit bearing a first fastening unit of a bracelet. A lock includes a default closed state in which the adjusting unit is fixed and an open state in which the adjusting unit is free to slide along a direction of length of the bracelet with respect to a second fastening unit to modify usable length of the bracelet. An adjusting device (12) is separated from a locking unit such that the lock moving from the closed state to the open state by a user acting on a control unit of the locking unit and the adjusting unit is shifted independently of the states of the clasp. An independent claim is also included for a wristwatch.
