The present invention relates to a method for providing a payment user interface, which enables composite payments on a portable electronic device, and a portable electronic device to which the method applies. The method for providing a payment user interface on a portable electronic device according to the present invention is as follows. A screen of the portable electronic device is horizontally divided into a plurality of display regions and each of a plurality of payment means candidate groups classified by type is mapped to each of lower display regions except for upper display regions, wherein the payment means candidate groups include at least one payment means, a default payment means for each of the payment means candidate groups is positioned and displayed at a center portion of the region to which the each of the groups is mapped, and a payment amount, which is calculated based on a combination of the default payment means, is displayed on the upper display region. A user activity for repositioning the payment means on the center portion of at least one of the lower display regions is detected. The payment amount is recalculated by applying the repositioned payment means at the central portion of the region in response to the user activity, and the recalculated payment amount is displayed on the upper display region. |
