Class 52(1) [Also in Group XXV] Receptacles 15 are pivoted on a horizontal axis formed by central studs 29 in attached straps 42 which also have end studs 32, 39 moving in arcuate slots 26, 27 in or adjacent the carcase wall of the cabinet. The slots are preferably shaped to raise the receptacle during its movement so that it reaches its final position in opening or closing under gravitational assistance, the pivot holes 28 for the axis studs 29 being oval to permit such raising. For each receptacle is provided a pivoted detent 45 having a nose 47 engaging a sliding bar 48 normally drawn upwards by a spring 60 so that its upper end enters a cam recess 58 in a key-operated slidable locking bar 57 which, when pushed in, depresses the bar 48 causing the detents 45 to engage the tops of the straps 42. Similar detents are provided at the opposite end of the receptacles the associated sliding bar 49 being operated by a cable 50, 53 actuated by the locking bar 57.
