The invention provides a holding device for bar-shaped objects, which can improve holding characteristic and has excellent switching operability of a retractable state and a protruding state at the same time. The holding device for bar-shaped objects has: a holding mechanism (2, 3) which can be switched between the retractable state of a recess (1) on an internal decoration part for an incoming vehicle and the protruding state enabling a front end side to protrude from the recess; and a force application mechanism (6) which applies force to the holding mechanism in a direction of the retractable state. The bar-shaped object is clamped between the holding mechanism and the internal decoration part or an opening edge side of the recess, wherein the holding mechanism switches to the protruding state while overcoming the acting force of the force application mechanism. The holding device for the bar-shaped objects is characterized in that: the holding mechanism has a first arm and a second arm (2, 3) which are pivotedly supported at different positions of the recess, and linkage mechanisms (23, 40, 52, 33) which can switch the arms into the retractable state in an interlocking manner. |
