A drum type washing machine is provided to prevent the circuit board from being damaged by the water flowing in through the light-transmitting member mounting hole. A drum type washing machine includes a control panel(20) which is provided on one side of the main body and has a light-transmitting member mounting hole(22); a circuit board provided on the back side of the control panel in which a plurality of LEDs are mounted; an encoder bracket which is arranged between the control panels and circuit board and has a protection rib formed in order to protect the LEDs mounted on the circuit board; a light-transmitting member(91) a part of which is mounted on the light-transmitting member mounting hole and which allow the light of the LEDs to pass therethrough; and a guide unit provided on the control panel and light-transmitting member and guiding the water flowing in through the light-transmitting member mounting hole in order to prevent from the circuit board from being damaged by the water. |
