PURPOSE: A wheel speed detecting apparatus and a detection method thereof are provided to accurately detect the speed of a car wheel according to leakage generation due to moisture inflow to the car wheel in a high current pulse sensing state. CONSTITUTION: A wheel speed detection part(11) detects rotation speed of each car wheel in a position adjacent to the each car wheel. The wheel speed detection part includes a plurality of hall sensors, a signal processing part, and a magnet. A control part(12) compares a limit value with a predetermined constant current value. The control part reduces the predetermined constant current as an amount of a fixed current value according to input of a low signal from the wheel speed detection part. A timer part(13) starts a count in a high signal input state according to instructions of the control part. A display part(14) displays moisture inflow of the wheel speed detection part corresponding to the instructions of the control part. |
