TROCHANTERIC COMPONENT OF ENDOPROSTHESIS OF HIP JOINT

The trochanteric component of the endoprosthesis of the hip joint consists of the spherical cup made of super high molecular polyethylene with the external system of the locking projections and grooves. The system of the locking projections comprises several levels of the annular ledges located concentrically on the surface of the cup in parallel to the plane of its base generating the regular relief of the rectangular shape. In addition, the locking system contains the rectangular spikes located at different levels. One level is the basic one at the basis of the cup; the other levels of the spikes correspond to the levels of the ledges displaced one relative to another throughout all levels. The meridional recesses on the surface of the cup are connected with the grooves limited by the ledges.
