A separator of metals and plastics is disclosed. The separator of metals and plastics of the present invention is to select and separate solid foreign substances including metals included in crushed waste plastics. The separator of metals and plastics of the present invention comprises a hitting drum constituted to be rotated by a driving member on one side within a housing; and multiple hitting members installed to be projected from the outer periphery of the hitting drum so as to hit the waste plastics falling and supplied from the upper part of the hitting drum by a waste plastic supply conveyor. When the hitting drum is rotated, heavy and hard foreign substances including metals included in the waste plastics fly further to fall at a far distance from the hitting drum, and light and soft waste plastics compared to the heavy and hard foreign substances including metals fall at a close distance from the hitting drum by hitting the falling waste plastics with the hitting members so that the waste plastics and metals are separated. According to the present invention, the waste plastics supplied by the conveyor are hit by a hitter so that solid substances including metals fly far, and soft plastics are collected at a close distance. Therefore, wind is not generated, and dust is not generated so that metals included in the waste plastics are easily separated from the plastics, and the separated and fallen waste plastics and metals are fallen and transported to the next process by each conveyor at the same time. |
