The present invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring the performance of a hydraulic power unit which comprises: an operation sensing part connected to a pump of a hydraulic power unit to sense whether the pump operates or not; a time measuring part connected to the operation sensing part to receive an operation signal of the pump from the operation sensing part and to measure loading time from the time when the pump starts to operate to when the pump stops again and unloading time from the time when the pump stops to when the pump operates again; and an alarm part receiving the loading time and the unloading time from the time measuring part and generating an alarm signal if the loading time is more than a set loading time or if the unloading time is less than a set unloading time. According to the present invention, the apparatus and method for monitoring the performance of a hydraulic power unit senses the reduction of the performance of the pump and the leakage of operating oil in real time and rapidly responds to the problems, thus improving the reliability of the facility having the hydraulic power unit to ensure safe operation. |
