Disclosed is a clutch for a part time four wheel drive vehicle. In a clutch system for a part time four wheel drive vehicle comprising: a wheel hub which is connected to vehicle wheels to rotate together; a driving axle which is supported by being inserted into the wheel hub to be able to relatively rotate in order to selectively transfer engine power to the wheel hub, and a clutch for connecting the driving axle to the wheel hub together in order to transfer the engine power to the wheel hub through the driving axle or detaching the driving axle from the wheel hub to be able to relatively rotate in order not to transfer the engine power to the wheel hub, the wheel hub includes a horizontal spline formed in parallel with an axis direction, and the driving axle includes an inclined spline formed askew for the axis direction. By including a clutch member which is installed to be able to move according to the axis direction to be always matched to the horizontal spline of the wheel hub and to be selectively matched to the inclined spline of the driving axle, torque transfer performance from the driving axle to the wheel hub is improved. |
