An image processing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a detecting unit and a processing unit. The detecting unit detects a motion by a long-exposure image of the current frame and a long-exposure image of the previous frame. The processing unit sets the cyclic coefficient of infinite impulse response (IIR) filtering according to a motion detection result from the detecting unit to perform IIR filtering on a short-exposure image of the current frame.
