摘要 The present invention relates to a filler for a cross flow type cooling tower which heat-exchanges a liquid flowing from an upward side to a downward side along a plurality of flow paths formed by recessed portions formed on the surfaces of a plurality of plate type fillers installed in parallel with an air flow at constant intervals, and air flowing between the gaps of the fillers through direct contact. The filler includes a plurality of pyramid protrudes (111) arranged in a wave pattern in all directions; a plurality of flow paths (110a) formed in a vertical direction by valleys (a) which are formed by adjacent base lines of the protrusions (111) arranged in a horizontal direction; and a plurality of flow paths (110b) formed in a horizontal direction by valleys (b) which are formed by adjacent base lines of the protrusions (111) arranged in a vertical direction. The flow paths (110a) of the vertical direction are formed in the wave pattern, and the flow paths (110b) of the horizontal direction are formed in the wave pattern. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cooling water flowing down in the vertical direction along the surface of the filler by the gravity from being biased to the cooling tower due to a suction force of a fan, while minimizing the cooling water from being peeling off from the surface of the filler.
