A method for diagnostics of the functional state of plants includes plant growing under the effect of a xenobiotic, determining the localization of phenolic compounds in the root tissue and determining an oxidative stress. In doing so the linear dimension of the localization of the brown pigment in the root tissue is determined as regards the total root length, depending on the concentration of the xenobiotic, and, while the index is increasing, the enhancement of the oxidative stress of plants is determined. |
