The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a strip made of metal contact clad and metal used in a bimetal for a motor protector, wherein the contact clad material is a copper (Cu) metal foil as a base metal and a silver (Ag) alloy metal foil as overlay. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a contact clad strip of a bimetal for a motor protector including: a step of controlling surface hardness through heat treatment of copper (Cu) metal foil and silver (Ag) alloy metal foil; a step of washing and activating a surface by radiating copper (Cu) metal foil and silver (Ag) alloy metal foil surfaces with plasma; a step of bonding the surface-activated copper (Cu) metal foil and silver (Ag) alloy metal foil which are laminated and rolled; and a step of winding the bonded copper (Cu) and silver (Ag) alloy contact clad material. The present invention can suppress that a compound layer between metals is generated on a bonding interface by comparing the contact clad material with a contact clad material manufactured by the exiting hot pressure welding because the manufacturing process is simple and is bonded at the room temperature and can have the excellent mechanical and electrical performance because of an even and uniform contact interface.
