The present invention relates to two or more span continuous girders which are mainly used as an upper structure of a bridge. The objective of the present invention is to activate use of continuous span girders by developing a continuation method for connection points of girders which is more effective, economical and safe by solving various problems of the conventional girder continuation method. For this, the present invention provides an improved girder continuation method of holding girders at connection parts and connecting the girders to each other in such a way that lower parts of connected surfaces of the girders meet first but upper parts of the connected surfaces are separated from each other so as to automatically generate bending moment causing upwardly rising deformation for the girders during the continuation process and to automatically apply prestress to the girders, thereby achieving economical commercialization of continuous span girders and forming the cross section of the girder more effectively than the conventional girders. |
