A gas distribution device of a fluidized bed unit comprises two parallel fixed grates, each of which is made in the form of a triangular prism with vertical outer and horizontal lower walls and an inclined plate located between the grates in parallel thereto and mounted with possibility of changing the angle of inclination relative to the horizon. The right grate is located at a predetermined distance from the lower base of the left grate and the inclined plate placed between them is replaced by two plates located one above the other.
