FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: proposed tool has biconical rolls with pinch between their tapers and piercing mandrel arranged there between, mandrel point extending beyond the pinch towards the entry to deformation source. Besides, it has guide rulers with inlet conical section and outlet section with ledge there between located at rolls pinch or shifted towards mandrel point. Increased share of transverse deformation due to blank ovalising pattern change is ensured by making the ruler outlet section with lengthwise profile of curvilinear concavity on the side of pierced blanks.EFFECT: improved piercing of continuously cast blanks at two-roll piercers.3 dwg
