The present invention provides a method for determining a green roof system based on building energy simulation. The method comprises the steps of: (a) allowing a building information input module (110) to input building information; (b) allowing a soil data input module (120) to input a plurality of soil data (S1-Sn); (c) allowing a vegetation data input module (130) to input a plurality of vegetation data (L1-Lm); (d) allowing a building energy simulation module (300) to perform the building energy simulation of all combinations of the soil data (S1-Sn) and the vegetation data (L1-Lm) using the inputted building information, soil data (S1-Sn), and vegetation data (L1-Lm); and (e) allowing a soil and vegetation determination module (400) to check soil data (S1-Sn) and vegetation data (L1-Lm) which can minimize the simulated building energy consumption (E) and determine soil and vegetation corresponding to the checked data.
