PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device that has a reduced size in the direction of communicating a first movement path with a second movement path.SOLUTION: In a shift lever device 10, when a shift lever 18 is turned along a manual transmission hole 26B, a first engaging portion 20 or a second engaging portion 22 of the shift lever 18 is inserted into a first locking hole 28 or a second locking hole 30 of a strength gate 24 to lock turning of the shift lever 18 toward an automatic transmission hole 26A. In the shift lever 18, the first engaging portion 20 and the second engaging portion 22 are arranged on the vehicle front side and vehicle rear side of a support body 18, respectively. This can prevent the shift lever 18 from becoming large in the horizontal direction of the vehicle by the first engaging portion 20 and the second engaging portion 22, decrease a turning range of the shift lever 18 toward lateral directions of the vehicle, enabling downsizing of the shift lever device 10 in the lateral directions of the vehicle. |
