PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of saccharide capable of reducing enzyme cost and improving productivity (a production rate of saccharide per unit volume of a reactor), in a method of producing monosaccharides by performing enzymatic saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass material.SOLUTION: A production method of saccharide is a method of producing saccharide by saccharifying lignocellulosic biomass material using an enzyme, and comprises the steps of: (A) preparing a reaction mixture containing lignocellulosic biomass material, an enzyme and water, and starting a saccharification reaction; (B) collecting part of a saccharified liquid from the reaction mixture during the saccharification reaction, and then resuming the saccharification reaction by adding at least the lignocellulosic biomass material and water to the reaction mixture; and (C) collecting the saccharified liquid from the reaction mixture while advancing the saccharification reaction, and then terminating the saccharification reaction. The step (B) is repeated a plurality of times. |
