Disclosed is a planetary gear train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle. The planetary gear train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a first axis, which receives engine power; a second axis, which is arranged parallel to the first axis at a predetermined interval; a first planetary gear set with a second rotating element, which is selectively connected to the first axis and a transmission housing at the same time, and a third rotating element, which is operated by an output element; a second planetary gear set with a fourth rotating element, which is arranged in the second axis to be external gear-connected to the second rotating element, a fifth rotating element, which is external gear-connected to the third rotating element and is directly connected to the output gear at the same time, and a sixth rotating element, which is selectively external-gear connected to the first axis through two routes; four transfer gears, which external gear-connect the fourth and fifth rotating elements of the second planetary gear set to the second and third rotating elements and external gear-connect the sixth rotating element to the first axis through two routes; and six friction elements with five clutches, which variably connect the first, second, and sixth rotating elements to the first axis and are arranged as the direct connection unit of the second planetary gear set, and a brake, which variably connects the second rotating element to the transmission housing. |
