PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head capable of inhibiting vibration in impacting in an iron-type golf club head including a head body whose face part is frame-like and a face plate fixed to the head body so as to improve a feeling of the golf club hitting a ball.SOLUTION: A golf club head 1 includes: a head body 10, the face part of which is like a frame having an opening 11; and a face plate 20 fixed to the head body 10 by laser welding or the like. A central part in the longitudinal direction (toe-heel direction) of an upper edge part 13 is a projected part 17 projected downward, and the vertical width Wof the central part is larger than the heel side vertical width Wof the upper edge part 13 and the toe side vertical width W. The back face of the face plate 20 is provided with recessed parts 21, 22, and the space therebetween is a thick part 23. |
