PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve accident fire and destabilization of combustion due to excessive temperature drop of an ignition plug and the peripheral air thereof, while improving fuel economy by fuel cut and interruption of electrification to the ignition plug and suppressing power consumption of a battery.SOLUTION: A control device ECU0 of an internal combustion engine performing fuel cut control when a vehicle is in a predetermined operation condition performs: control that cuts electrification to a secondary side of an ignition coil during fuel cut; control that estimates the temperature of an ignition plug or near the ignition plug on the basis of a parameter indicating an operation condition; and control that resumes electrification to the secondary side of the ignition coil when the estimated temperature of the ignition plug or near the ignition plug is less than a predetermined ignition allowable temperature.
