PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester complex fiber for artificial hair that has achieved the appearance, feeling and good combability close to human hair, and also has the appearance of many kinds of fibers being combined though, although actuality, it is a single fiber.SOLUTION: A polyester complex fiber for artificial hair consists of two layers of a polyester resin layer containing, by mass, 0.4-5.0% colloidal silica particles whose average primary particle diameter is 0.02-0.1 μm, and a polyester resin layer containing, by mass, 0.4-5.0% dry silica particles whose average primary particle diameter is 0.5-5.0 μm. Part of each of the two kinds of polyester resin layers is exposed on the fiber surface. The ratio of the exposure on the fiber surface of the polyester resin layer containing the colloidal silica particles to the exposure on the fiber surface of the polyester resin layer containing the dry silica particles is made to be 80:20 to 20:80 in terms of the area ratio of the whole side surface of the fiber, so as to acquire the polyester complex fiber for artificial hair that achieves both the appearance and good combability close to human hair. |
