PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel plate joint device and a steel plate joint method in a punching press machine, capable of simplifying the device, and capable of reducing initial cost and operation cost, by eliminating a device for detecting a joint part and a device for collecting a defective.SOLUTION: The steel plate joint device 5 comprises cutting means 51, position adjusting means 52 and joint means. The position adjusting means 52 adjusts a position of a feeding finish end part 81 of a strip steel plate 8A of the last time in the feeding direction. The cutting means 51 cuts the strip steel plate 8A of the last time in a state of being punched by a pair of punching dies 21 by a cutting blade 511. The joint means joints the cutting end in the strip steel plate 8A of the last time and the starting end in the strip steel plate of the next time. The position adjusting means 52 adjusts a cutting reference position Y of going up to the upstream side in the feeding direction by the specified cutting length L corresponding to integral multiple of a feeding pitch P from a reference position X of the pair of punching dies 21 to a position of the cutting blade 511 within a cutting allowable range in the feeding direction. |
