PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for controlling a battery pack and extending the life of the battery pack.SOLUTION: The battery pack control device includes: a battery pack having a plurality of battery modules connected in parallel; a switch, connected in series with each battery module, which becomes a connection state when charging and discharging; and when the battery pack starts charging and discharging, a control unit for controlling a switch corresponding to a battery module, which is selected as a battery module that is made to be in a connection state earliest using a selection condition, to be in a connection state, and after being made to be in the connection state, controlling a switch corresponding to an unselected battery module to be in a connection state. |
