PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater which is capable of increasing the margin of heater disconnection, while suppressing irregular heat generation and to provide a heating and fixing device using the heater.SOLUTION: The heater includes a substrate 14, a first conductor formed on the substrate, a second conductor which is an annular conductor formed on the substrate and surrounds the first conductor from the outside, a first electric contact part 32b provided at the end on one end side of the first conductor, a second electric contact part 32c provided at the end on the other end side of the first conductor, a third electric contact part 32a provided at the end on one end side of the second conductor, a fourth electric contact part 32d provided at the end on the other end side of the second conductor, and a heating resistor 35 electrically connected between the first conductor and the second conductor. The width of the second conductor is smaller than the width of the first conductor and there are two rows of heat generation areas comprising a group of the first conductor, the second conductor, and the heating resistor. |
